Haute école de travail social et de la santé de Lausanne

The University of Applied Sciences in Social Work and Healthcare Lausanne (Haute école de travail social et de la santé Lausanne, HETSL) offers Bachelor’s-level courses in Social Work and Occupational Therapy. Its practice-oriented teaching prepares future professionals to become involved in the heart of society. Within the HES-SO, HETSL provides Master’s-level courses in its fields of expertise, thus offering its graduates the possibility of pursuing a tertiary education programme. It is active in continuing education and in research and development. It also provides services to public and private organisations.

The HETSL offers training in two University of Applied Sciences degree programmes, namely: the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. It is an active part of the Master of Arts in Social Work, organised in French-speaking Switzerland with the Universities of Applied Sciences in Social Work of Geneva, Fribourg, and Valais, as well as with SUPSI, the University of Applied Sciences of Southern (Italian-speaking) Switzerland. It is involved in the organisation of the Master of Sciences in Health Sciences, a joint interprofessional Master’s degree with the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and the four universities of the HES-SO Health Faculty. The HETSL Continuing Education Unit completes the education offering with short courses and certification courses (CAS, DAS, MAS), enabling professionals in the field to complete their training.
